* 190 companies represented across more than 230 pledges, the aggregate valuation of which is more than $16 billion.
* The exits seen so far total $350 million and are represented by 3 founders and 2 investors (across 4 companies).
* Each pledgor holds different percentages of equity and not every co-founder or investor is involved in the pledge.
* The $64 million in commitments is calculated based on most recent funding valuations, shareholding percentages of each pledgor, and pledge percentages.
* The pledge is based on a percentage of the total founder equity at exit (not at time of signing), and is never less than 2%, though the largest pledge we received has been 15%.”
* Roughly 15% of the companies involved are on an exit track, the most notable of whom include: Made.com, Farfetch, Huddle, Nutmeg, Zopa, Swiftkey, Hampton Creek, Vicarious, Blippar, Blockchain, Beepi, and Digital Shadows.

They have slightly different terms but not a big difference (e.g. 1% of total equity vs 2% of founder of equity).

The main reason to support this one is that it’ll be trying to direct money to especially effective charities, whereas the other pledging organisations often focus on local Bay Area charities. (Though to be clear, none of the orgs mandate where where you give). So if you want to promote GiveWell recommended charities etc then it’ll be better for the Founders Pledge to be really successful.

I spent a while trying to figure out how to best donate equity, and I found a number of pledge programs similar to this. (There’s even another pledge program with the exact same name: http://www.makethepledge.org/index.html )

Given that, could you elaborate more on what differentiates this pledge from the others? It is a little unclear to me why I, as a founder, should choose one over the other.
